About this item

Dare to Compare: this is the OEM pump. Exact same Fit, Form and Function. This is not the drain pump. Instead, it is the main circulation pump and motor assembly

After 7 years of use I had to replace my circulation pump (or wash motor) for my Whirlpool dishwasher (model WDF330PAHS1). It is an OEM part and fit perfectly into this model. Even it is exactly the same brand that I had originally in my dishwasher (Brand: Askoll, Model: W10805386).The issue that I had was that my dishwasher filled with water but after that it stops and does not start with the cycle at all. Sometimes you could heard some noises coming below were this pump is located. After doing a lot of research over internet with these symptoms I found that 99% of this issue is caused by a failure of the circulation pump (or wash motor) and must be replaced.I recommend also to watch videos in YouTube on how to change the circulation pump (model W10805386).The procedure is not complicated and in my case it was done in less than 30 minutes! Please be aware that this circulation pump comes with OETIKER hose clamp. After installing the pump you will need a clamp pincher to tighten it and regular pliers won't work! So in this case I recommend to buy the "Tnisesm 9 inch Single Ear Clamp Pliers, Pinch Clamp Pliers, Ear Hose Clamps Tool, for Automotive Nail Puller Single Ear Hose Clamps Pliers" available here on AMAZON also. In YouTube you can watch videos that explain how to use this tool with the OETIKER hose clamp (NOT complex at all!!!)Also, a final recommendation is that when you change the circulation pump, also change the Dishwasher Pump Grommet to avoid leaks specially if you have many years of use (as in my case). For the Whirlpool dishwasher model WDF330PAHS1 the Dishwasher Pump Grommet is the part number WPW10538166.Now I am back in action with my dishwasher! Excellent replacement and recommended product!Buy it safe and with no worries at all!

YouTubed the dishwasher. Found out what the problem was. Ordered the part and it solved the problem. Works great.

This was less of a pain to install than I was expecting, but after install there were immediate leaks from the existing grommet that the pump fits into. I'm sure I mishandled it when pulling out the old pump, but since the dishwasher is 5+ years old it was probably pretty prone to getting damaged. Go ahead and buy the grommet at the same time. If you end up not needing it you can just return it.Also, this statement in the description isn't exactly correct: "After installing the pump you will need a clamp pincher to tighten it." The hose clamp that's loosely pre-installed on the fitting does require such a crimper, but in the box was a standard screwdriver/socket tightened spare hose clamp for in case you damage the one that requires crimping. So you can just remove the crimp required one and put on the spare if you don't have a crimper.Testing of the pump after install was limited since I have the grommet leak. I only was able to confirm it fixed my problem. But since it's an OEM part I don't expect any issues. I'll update if that's not the case once I get the grommet replaced.

Fit perfectly on a Whirlpool wdf520padm 9 dishwasher. The dishwasher would turn on and water would go in it, but the arm wouldn’t spin and deliver water. It drained OK. I knew it had to be the circulation pump at that point. Helpful hint …get the gasket because you will tear up the old one trying to get it out. While you have the thing out, you may as well exchange the rubber pieces.Ladies, you can do this and save yourself $200. I did. if you have long fingernails… It’s not happening. If you’re worried about your manicure, you should be.There is a step-by-step by repairclinic.com on YouTube. It is excellent.

The pump was relatively easy to install and the manufacturer even provided the additional, standard hose clamp instead of the factory option, which most people don't have the tool to install, so Thank You!

  • Michael Doiron

If your Kenmore dishwasher runs but doesn't circulate the water to upper level during wash mode, this is your culprit. Use a dab of vaseline on the rubber grommet the pump outlet inserts into and also the rubber block the mounting arm slides into for easier install. I opted for the threaded clamp as opposed to the crimp on clamp. Took probably 30 minutes to install. $80 do it myself vs $240 quote from repair shop.

  • Amazon Customer

The installation was relatively easy and if definitely fixed my problem. Let’s see how long it lasts. The old motor was connected to the rubber gasket with some adhesive. I couldn’t unplug that part without breaking the seal, so I opened the cover and just replaced the actually motor, maintaining the old cover.

My dishwasher stopeed working. After watching some YouTube videos I was able to determine that the circulating pump was the problem. I ordered this one, it came quickly the next morning. It includes a clamp that you can tighten with a screwdriver if you do not have the clamping tool. 10 minutes to change and it saved me $500.

  • Brett

They say you do need that special clamping pliers which I do have but I noticed this also came with a normal screw clamp to use in place of that. This is the second one I have installed they last about 2 years for us

Pump works very well.. just make sure all information is correct on pump as replacement and you'll be happy
