  I purchased the full assembly because 1. it was roughly the same price as some of the parts individually and 2. I had a suspicion that the recirc. pump had gone out, but I wasn't 100% sure so I thought that I couldn't go wrong if I purchased the full assembly (especially if the price differential was so small). When I received the part, I noticed that there was a crack in the gasket material (see attached photo). At first I wasn't very concerned, I assumed that there was a compression seal and the crack might allow the gasket to compress and prevent the gasket from getting a wave in it. When I removed the old assembly, there was no crack in it. I installed the new assembly, and sure enough it leaked from the crack. Fortunately, I was able to pull the recirc pump off the new assembly and install it in the old one. So that's why I said that it worked sort of, because the piece I really needed did work. Luckily for me I didn't need the full assembly.

  I have 0 experience with dishwashers or fixing anything really. I google’d what could be wrong with my dishwasher, bought this part based on some online advice, and watched a 5 minute YouTube video on how to install it. This could have easily taken a repairman 10 minutes and they could have charged more then the dishwasher was worth, but for a fraction of the cost I installed it in an hour and the dishwasher works again.   Circulation pump died, new gasket was so tight that I ended up putting it on the old plastic insert, but if I had been able to get more than a thumb on the back tabs it wouldn't have been an issue.1) Put a towel under the drain pump, and remove the drain pump and hose.2) Push the 3 white tabs on the insert in and then push and tap from bottom until the gasket pops loose.3) Go inside dishwasher and remove sensor wire, twist and wiggle out, and recirculating pump power wire, may require a paperclip or small screwdriver to hold tab back on that.4) Put soapy water on black gasket, and clean tub where gasket sits. Then install reverse of removal.

  Easy to install. Use some detergent or rinse aid when installing to help seat the basin, makes it a ton easier.The unit works like a charm.

  This was a bit of a pain to install, but I managed to do it with just myself. All was good until a year later it stopped working. I will not buy again since this model is clearly not made very well.

  Exact replacement for the original and it works perfect. My dishwasher wasn’t spraying water anymore but would still fill and drain so I knew my circulation pump was bad. The new pump assembly went in fairly easy once I got the old one out and my dishwasher works again. Easy enough job if you’re somewhat mechanically inclined.

  This was a lifesaver...well, maybe not exactly saving my life but it definitely saved my having to buy a whole new dishwasher.I wouldn't say this was hard to install, but it also wasn't super easy. With that said, I won't hold that against this product...its just requires some awkward plumbers yoga poses but its totally worth the effort. I found a great youtube tutorial that walked me through each step and made this process a whole lot easier.If you are here reading this review, then you must be the type who can handle this type of project...so stop overthinking it and save the landfill from another dishwasher that could have been saved.TLDR: It works great. Plumbers yoga is not much fun. It does what it promises and I would highly recommend it.
