Works perfectly my wife is happy
Pros:Even though it may not look exactly like the old pump, it is an exact-fit replacement. The pump-out flow rate is at least equal to the original, and its sound level is about the same. It is not necessary to disassemble and realign the pump sections to make the hose connections point in the right directions. However, BE SURE to check that it is the right part for your model number. Part illustrations alone are often not enough to go by.This pump is well worth the price I paid. Even if it just lasts five years, it will have been worth the time and expense.Cons:The instructions provided are pretty skimpy. For instance, the mounting base does not come attached to the pump. A screw is provided for that purpose, but there are 2 mounting holes. One pump body screw has to be removed and used as the second screw. For people who are not used to doing mechanical repairs, figuring this out could be a minor challenge. Also, there should be printed warnings about overtightening the screws, since they are threading into plastic. After the mounting bar is attached, one of the screws that holds the pump to the washer base is inacessible with a nutdriver or screwdriver. That's not a big deal, since you can slide the rubber mount out of the bar, mount it to the washer base, slide the mounting bar into the mount, and then install the screw on the other end. Instructions like these should be included with the pump, and might save time and frustration for someone not used to making repairs of this kind.
If you look at your old pump, it's a straightforward, easy to interpret DIY replacement. This matches up like OEM and is a piece of cake to install. No leaks, no problem, still running well several months later. Even if it doesn't last as long as OEM (which remains to be seen), for the price, it's already worth it.
This worked. Was not the exact size of old part but made it work. Washer is now working.
It was easy to find right one. It came in 2 days. It fit perfect and had machine going in no time
Works better than the original!!when spinning water out of clothes
the pump looks pretty much like to old one, the outlet needed to be reversed, easily done for anyone repairing their own washing machine. The mounting bracket provided was a shorter version than original. getting the screw into the new mount hole was slightly challenging in the closed space and a bit behind the pump body (hence four stars on easy to install.) Overall, if I had to buy again, I would buy this part.
It does the job but very loud when it is running.
6 month update:Machine stopped draining. Super stressful because the machine is in an rural Airbnb so getting timely service is tough. I had go fix it myself again. Error code E42 (I think) on FrigidaireAffinity so it could be the pump or the circuit board. I still have the old OE pump that was replaced due to noisiness and may break down anytime. It worked so it was the new pump - propeller is stuck (does not rotate). That is a lot of wasted time and inconvenience. I now regret not showing 5 to 6 more on an OE pump ($110 to $150). Is it bad luck or knock off pump quality issue - I don't know given the high percentage of 5 star reviews or they have not updating when pumps break in a few months. The two star is for excellence and responsive customer service - offered to refund in full on my reorder. I will keep the replacement around but will not be installing it. Instead will buy OE. Not worth the risk. For anyone interested, photo of the OE model number is attached which does not appear in any of the OE pump photos I find out there and cannot seem to find by Askoll name either. This knock off pump seems to be the same one sold by almost every vendor out there.Note: if it stopped draining, be prepared to catch all that water in the bladder and drum when you disconnect the hoses or your floor will be flooded.Original review:Installation is not that easy not the pump's fault but where in the machine it is located - just tough to reach. It has been working fine for a number of months so cannot speak to longevity yet. The original lasted about 5 years. Good value so far and the fit is almost the same.
We replaced the water pump on our 13 year old Frigidaire front load washer. Back to washing clothes again. The part was on our doorstep 24 hours after ordering. Thank you!
