【EASY TO INSTALL】---You will need a 1/4-inch nut driver, a 5/16-inch nut driver, a flat-blade screwdriver, and a pair of pliers. Remember to turn off the water supply and disconnect the power to the washer before starting repairs. Wear work gloves to protect your hands. Remove the old water pump and connect the wires to the new W10409079 water drain pump. Loosen the metal clamp at the black orifice, put the black orifice over the water pipe and clamp the metal frame with pliers to make sure the pump does not wiggle away from the water pipe, tighten the screws that hold the pump in place.

  The drain pump went out on my old 10+ y.o KENMORE washer. Money is tight ( DUH!) so I decided to D.I.Y . After an exhaustive search finally pinpointed the right drain pump at a great price on AMAZON. It was easy to install and fit exactly in the footprint of the factory part to the degree I firmly believe that it was manufactured at the OEM factory (CHINA of course) Anyway , it has been a few weeks now and the KENMORE is still working great----time will tell if this part will perform as well as the stock one.

  DON'T BUY!I had to get a replacement for the first one I ordered because it was making terrible noises on install. I have not been granted my credit yet (Oct 19, 2023) even after I have a return confirmation from Oct 7, 2023.The second pump (replacement for 1st pump) only lasted a week and now it is 100% dead. I am ordering from another vendor here on Amazon. These Beaquicy pumps are junk.

  Easy to install on my Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer. I called a repairman he confirmed it was this pump that needed replacing, after two days he told me he couldn't get one from his sources but it would be $120 if I wanted to backorder one. At his suggestion I go on Amazon and found this direct fit replacement. It even came with new hoses. Been running for about 3 months with no issues. No rewiring, just unscrew the old one, pop the hoses loose, and unplug the connector. Drop this one right in its place. Took about 30 minutes total. Probably could have been quicker If I could have figured a way to shopvac every bit of water out before uninstalling factory pump.
